The University of Washington Educational Outreach is seeks to fill an open position for a Sr. SharePoint Contractor.
The Sr. SharePoint Contractor is responsible for developing and deploying SharePoint business solutions. The SharePoint Contractor will have an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint 2010, including portals, enterprise search, enterprise content management, business process and forms and/or business intelligence, exposing data via dashboards, workflows and other functionalities and will apply that knowledge to maximize the use of SharePoint 2010 across the organization.
Duties include:
- Develop and implement custom solutions for critical business needs utilizing web parts, work flows, and InfoPath Forms.
- Work with customers and business analysts to design SharePoint solutions that satisfy business requirements.
- Develop and implement SharePoint collaboration solutions and sites using SharePoint 2010,
Create templates, custom workflows, custom WSP solutions, design forms and reports. - Troubleshoot SharePoint application issues
- Document system processes and procedures in a clear manner.
- Perform systems analysis, maintenance upgrades, and resolve user issues.
- Participate in internal customer meetings, refine client requirements, assist in technical training / demonstrations
- Perform Performance tuning and Search optimization
A. Mandatory Experience and Qualifications:
- BS/MS in computer science, MIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years experience using Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint 2007 / 2010
- Minimum of one development project using SharePoint Server 2010
Experience designing and developing web applications, designing user interfaces. - In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content
- Strong application development background in custom application development and/or solution implementations in SharePoint.
- Strong Experience with Microsoft.NET, SQL Server, Visual Basic, and C#.
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills are needed with the ability to work effectively with areas of IT and with business units.
B. Highly Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- MOSS or MCSD certification
- Experience developing Knowledgebase in SharePoint
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Experience implementing/integrating Business Intelligence reporting and PowerPivot with SharePoint
- Experience with CSS
